At the SATURDAY NIGHT ALIVE kick-off party last Thursday, Stan and Sara Sena did what chairs do best — build anticipation.
“Spanning a 50-year career, our entertainer has had 37 Top 40 hits, a Grammy, a Soul Train Music Award, a Kennedy Center Honor, induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and not one but two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame” — drumroll please — “Smokey Robinson.”
Instantly the room was buzzing with anticipation and champagne corks were flying because anyone who bought tickets to the March event that night received a bottle of champagne.
Here’s to a smokin’ event — cheers!
